Efficiently set up and operate Vertical machining center. Must plan machining operations and setups by reading work orders, blueprints or sketches. Must Perform rebuild and repair machining work as required. Repair or rebuild worn and failed parts requiring welding reconstruction and/or machining. must maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures. Maintain equipment and machinery by completing preventative maintenance and following manufacturers' recommendations. Must adhere to quality assurance procedures and offer suggestions for improvements. Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Must be able to read/interpret geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.
- Must solve problems and offer suggestions for improvements.
-Must have minimum of three years CNC vertical machining experience required.
-Must have CNC programming knowledge, welding knowledge/ability and basic metallurgical knowledge.
-Basic mathematics, geometric and trigonometric knowledge and application is required.
-Lifting and rigging of large/heavy parts, up to 20,000 pounds, with an overhead crane is required.
